Come out and help us grow! Individuals or groups interested in volunteering and learning more about creating a sustainable food system in Nashville are welcome to come out on an occasional or regular basis. In addition to our CSA starting in 2008, we will be continuing our Volunteer Supported Agriculture program, where farm volunteers can earn free produce in exchange for coming out and help with the farm! This is a great way to get some local clean food into your fridge while learning about growing your own and helping feed other folks.
Regular volunteer sessions are held every Saturday morning 9 am -1 pm at the West Nashville Community Farm. This schedule will resume in late February, please stay informed via our listserv! If you cant make it at that time, email sarah@nashvilleurbanharvest.org to discuss alternate volunteer sessions or check up on the listserv
If gardening or farming isn’t your thing, we are looking for volunteers to help us with community outreach, distributing produce, construction, landscaping, material translation, education, or any number of other food security related projects. Contact us with your ideas!
Please contact jeff at jeff@nashvilleurbanharvest.org or sarah at sarah at sarah@nashvilleurbanharvest.org for more information.
