2008 Summer Internship!

Nashville Urban Harvest is now hiring for the summer season. We have
one paid position available for the summer. The position involves
involve work in organic produce production and community outreach and
education at the West Nashville Community Farm, as well as part of a
team responsible for produce procurement for the Veggie Project, a
community-based research endeavor focused on increasing access to
fresh fruits and vegetables to families frequenting Boys and Girls
Clubs in Nashville.

The goal of Nashville Urban Harvest is to bring healthy, local, and
sustainably grown foods into Metro Nashville within reach of all
people. This position allows an intern to help create access to fresh
food in communities throughout the Metro Nashville area, to identify
obstacles and possible solutions to healthy food access and put them
into practice in our community work, to promote and increase access to
healthy, local food for all people regardless of income, age, or race,
and to help build community self-reliance and sustainability in an
inclusive and fun way.
